  • 5100e Flexible Secure Data Acquisition for Data that has Value The Economical 5100e offers a very cost effective solution for up to 6 input channels with 1 relay output standard. It has a 5.0" color, 1/4 VGA TSN touch screen display. The unit is supplied with floppy disk drive as standard and has 3Mb of internal Flash memory. Ethernet communications (FTP & modbus/TCP) is standard. The 5100e offers unrivalled input accuracy with a 125mS total sample rate for up to 6 channels. At the heart of the design is a leading edge Power PC, 32-bit RISC processor. All for the same price as a paper recorder.

Ethernet networking has become the recognized standard for high-speed data transmission within large plants …and beyond. Series 5000 incorporates FTP (file transfer protocol) and modbus/TCP via its Ethernet communications, enabling the archiving and integration of data into any plant-wide data network.

CONNECT DIRECTLY TO EXISTING ETHERNET NETWORK CABLING
ON YOUR CURRENT OFFICE DESKTOP COMPUTER
  • Standard Ethernet comms (use existing cabling).
  • One PC can view any number of 5000 Series.
  • Remote realtime viewing and configuration.
  • 4 PCs can simultaneously monitor any unit.
  • Automated secure data archiving to Existing Server.
  • Archiving is available on a standard 3.5” floppy diskette. Data is transferred from the instrument’s non-volatile memory in hourly, daily or weekly files. Data can be archived at a rate which matches the units’ high input scan rates – 8Hz. All data is stored in tamper-proof binary format that can be used for long term record processing.

OPC server capability (OLE for process control) defines the standard by which instrumentation can be integrated into modern automation/business systems. This enables Series 5000 recorders to be incorporated into the software system of your choice, without the need to assemble costly new drivers.

Use of the Eurotherm custom chip set ensures high quality I/O. One A/D converter per channel negates the need for relays or solid state switching, providing continuous measurement and parallel sampling for each input. High noise rejection and isolation (250 volts channel to channel and channel ground) ensures measurement integrity in the harshest of environments. This high accuracy data acquisition occurs at an input scan rate of 8Hz (all channels scanned every 125ms).

    Complete Data Management
The 5100e is provided complete with Bridge 5000 and Review software. These enable the user to review logged and archived process data remotely. Review software is an historical data analysis tool enabling review of recorded data while maintaining its integrity in the proprietary, binary format. The full Bridge 5000 package gives complete operation and configuration of the 5100V instrument from you desk.

    5100e
    Providing Industry Leading Funtionality

As well as security and reliability, the 5100V offers a multitude of additional functionality. These additional features make a standard instrument best fit a specific process: Activate a relay on high alarm, start a timer on batch start or add a message to the display on a comms channel timeout; Maths functions can be performed, and much more. AND all for the same price as a paper recorder.

    5100e Standard Software
  • Review

  • Review software is included free of charge with every 5000B instrument. This PC application acts as an efficient and secure library for data from which charts can be reviewed, printed and exported to other PC packages if required. Logged files from the 5000B are stored in a tamper resistant, binary format and Review uses this format to enable chart view on a PC - ensuring integrity of both historical and new data.

    5100e Optional Software
  • Bridge 5000 Lite & Full

  • Allows up to 4 PCs to simultaneously view Realtime data and remotely configure the instrument.

Series 5000 incorporates FTP (file transfer protocol) and modbus/TCP via its Ethernet communications, enabling the archiving and integration of data into any plant-wide data network.

Data visualization needs to be presented in the most easily interpretable format to the operator. In addition to the standard displays of bar, chart and numeric formats, custom displays (plant mimics) can be created for the series 5000 recorders. The advanced software environment allows for display creating images that are both static, and have moving elements.

A Touch Sensitive Screen coupled with a ¼ VGA or SVGA TFT color LCD display provides excellent display capabilities. The Series 5000 features a simple to use WindowsTM style system configurator, that is mirrored in the PC-based configuration program, allowing ease of transition between either method of set up.

Bridge 5000 is PC software that provides remote access to the series 5000 recorders, via Ethernet. Using the software, the operator sees real time data from the recorder. Navigation of the operator interface on the PC is identical to that of the unit, using a mouse to point and click where the recorder uses a touch screen.

Archiving is available on a choice of media, either 3.5” floppy diskette, or PC card, with up to 1 Gbyte of memory. Data is transferred from the instrument’s non-volatile memory in hourly, daily or weekly files. Data can be archived at a rate which matches the units’ high input scan rates – 8Hz. All data is stored in tamper-proof binary format that can be used for long term record processing.

The Batch 5000 feature offers batch functionality based on the requirements of FDA title 21 CFR part 11. The capabilities of this feature include: entering of six batch fields (e.g. current operator, batch number, customer name, order number, etc.), batch mode (start/stop or continuous).
